Content & Social Intern

PAUSE VII is a new premium consumer health and nutrition brand built around the idea of preservation: helping people think more deliberately about preserving the things that matter as the way we eat and age changes. The initial product system is being developed around morning and evening nutrition. The brand combines clinical and scientific credibility with a distinctive cultural, luxury-led creative direction. We are currently pre-launch.

We are looking for a highly online, creative and funny junior content person to help document what it actually looks like to build a consumer health company from zero.

This is not a traditional corporate social media internship.

A major part of the role is helping create PE → POWDER, the founder-led series documenting the transition from private equity to building PAUSE VII. You will spend time with the founder capturing what is genuinely happening behind the scenes: product development, samples arriving, supplier problems, website changes, meetings, things going wrong, things unexpectedly working. Your job is turning those moments into entertaining short-form content.

You will also help execute content for PAUSE VII itself, which has a more considered clinical-luxury brand aesthetic. The two channels should not look identical, and part of the job is understanding why.

We are looking for someone significantly better at the internet than the founder is.

What you will do

• Film founder and behind-the-scenes content for PE → POWDER

• Turn real company-building moments into short-form Instagram and TikTok content

• Edit Reels and short-form video, primarily in CapCut or equivalent

• Help develop repeatable content formats and hooks

• Capture and organise a reusable library of founder, product and company footage

• Help create and publish content for the PAUSE VII social channels

• Format and publish approved PE → POWDER Substack articles and Notes

• Potentially help with simple PAUSE VII LinkedIn and company updates

• Add captions, music, simple graphics and sound design where appropriate

• Schedule and publish approved content

• Monitor performance and identify the formats worth repeating

• Keep an eye on relevant social trends and recognise when one can be adapted intelligently

• Occasionally appear in content, where it is natural and appropriate

Occasionally your job will be filming things going wrong.

The founder and an AI-assisted editorial workflow will provide significant support with concepts, scripts, captions and long-form writing. We are not hiring you to sit at a blank Google Doc. We are hiring you for taste, internet instinct, filming and editing ability, and the judgement to recognise a good story while it is actually happening.

Who we are looking for

We care substantially more about taste and output than formal experience.

• Extremely online, and genuinely understands Instagram, TikTok and internet culture

• Strong creative taste

• Understands why a simple 8-second video can be better than an overproduced 60-second one

• Can film good-looking footage quickly on a phone

• Can edit short-form video efficiently in CapCut or equivalent

• Understands comedic timing

• Can tell the difference between native social content and corporate social media content

• Interested in consumer brands, health and wellness, beauty, fashion, culture or startups

• Comfortable working directly with a founder

• Proactive, and able to notice that something happening in real life would make good content

• Organised enough to maintain a usable content library

• Happy to occasionally appear on camera

• Has good judgement about what should and should not be posted publicly

Formal marketing qualifications are not required. Previous professional social media experience is not required if you can demonstrate excellent creative instincts and content.

This could suit a current student, a final-year student, a recent graduate or a junior content creator. Relevant backgrounds might include fashion communication, media, content creation, creative direction, advertising, film and video, marketing, design or communications, but we are not restricting applications to particular degrees. You do need to be able to work regularly in London.

What this role is not

You will not initially need to own paid Meta advertising, growth strategy, PR, influencer partnerships, clinical strategy, regulatory or health claims, or overall PAUSE VII brand strategy. You may encounter or support some of these, but they are not the core responsibility of this internship until launch,

The details

• Paid part-time internship, initially 3 months, with potential to continue if it works well for both sides

• Approximately 10 to 15 hours per week, roughly 1 to 2 days

• Hybrid. The role requires regular in-person time in London at least once a week and maybe 2, because an important part of the job is filming the founder and documenting the company as it is being built. Editing, scheduling and publishing can be done remotely

• £15 to £18 per hour depending on experience

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
