Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

• Develop creative and engaging content ideas for social media and digital platforms.
• Create short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and other relevant platforms.
• Plan, shoot, edit and publish high-quality video content.
• Develop content calendars and ensure timely delivery of scheduled content.
• Write engaging captions, scripts, headlines and other social media copy.
• Take and edit photographs and product images where required.
• Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to develop promotional content.
• Create content that communicates the company's products, services and brand message effectively.
• Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities for relevant and timely content.
• Participate in photoshoots, product demonstrations, interviews and promotional campaigns.
• Repurpose existing content into different formats for various platforms.
• Monitor content performance, engagement and audience response.
• Provide regular reports on content performance and recommend improvements.
• Maintain consistency in the company's visual identity, tone and messaging.
• Stay updated on emerging social media trends, content formats, editing tools and digital marketing practices.
• Support campaigns, product launches, events and other marketing activities.
• Collaborate with designers, photographers, influencers and other creative professionals when required.

Requirements:

• OND, HND or Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, Creative Arts or a related field.
• 1–3 years of proven experience as a Content Creator, Social Media Content Creator, Digital Content Specialist or similar role.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating previous content creation work.
• Practical experience creating short-form video content.
• Good knowledge of social media platforms, especially Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube.
• Experience with video editing and basic graphic design.
• Ability to develop creative concepts from brief to final content.
• Strong understanding of current social media trends.
• Good writing, storytelling and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Must be creative, proactive and comfortable appearing on camera when required.
• Experience with product photography, lighting and basic filming equipment is an advantage.
