1. ABOUT LAKYOU BEAUTY

Lakyou Beauty is a growing beauty and cosmetics brand focused on creating products and experiences that celebrate authentic beauty.

We are looking for a highly creative, trend-aware and hands-on Content Creator who can take complete ownership of the content creation process — from conceptualisation and ideation to shooting, editing and final execution.

The ideal candidate should have a genuine interest in makeup, beauty, cosmetics, fashion, social media and visual storytelling, along with a strong understanding of current digital trends.

This person should be capable of independently creating content that is engaging, aesthetically appealing and aligned with the overall Lakyou Beauty brand image.

2. ROLE OVERVIEW

The Content Creator will be responsible for creating and executing content across Lakyou Beauty's social media and digital platforms.

The candidate will be expected to independently manage the complete content cycle:

Trend / Inspiration → Idea → Concept → Script → Shoot → Edit → Final Content

The role requires someone who is not only good at creating content but is also continuously looking for new ideas, references, trends, formats and inspirations relevant to the beauty and cosmetics industry.

The candidate should be able to understand the Lakyou Beauty aesthetic and translate it into visually consistent and engaging content.

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. CONTENT IDEATION & CREATIVE THINKING

• Generate fresh, original and engaging content ideas for Lakyou Beauty's social media platforms.

• Continuously research the latest trends in:

o Makeup

o Beauty

o Cosmetics

o Skincare

o Fashion

o Lifestyle

o Pop culture

o Social media

• Identify trending Instagram Reels, formats, sounds, hooks, transitions, storytelling styles and visual references.

• Develop new content concepts rather than simply copying existing trends.

• Maintain a regular bank of fresh content ideas, references and inspirations.

• Develop creative concepts for:

o Product launches

o Campaigns

o Festivals

o Special occasions

o Seasonal moments

o Trending topics

o Brand initiatives

• Think of innovative ways to showcase Lakyou Beauty products beyond conventional product demonstrations.

• Create content concepts that are visually appealing, entertaining, educational and shareable.

• Develop new recurring content series and formats for the brand.

• Constantly explore what leading beauty brands and creators are doing globally and identify relevant ideas that can be adapted for Lakyou Beauty.

4. CONTENT CREATION & SHOOTING

• Plan and execute day-to-day social media content.

• Shoot high-quality content for Instagram, YouTube and other digital platforms.

• Create:

o Reels

o Short-form videos

o Product videos

o Tutorials

o GRWM content

o Product demonstrations

o Makeup transformations

o Before & after videos

o Swatches

o UGC-style content

o BTS content

o Trend-led content

o Voice-over videos

o Talking-to-camera videos

o Product storytelling

o Campaign content

• Shoot high-quality product visuals, textures, swatches, application shots and close-ups.

• Understand basic principles of:

o Lighting

o Framing

o Composition

o Camera angles

o Product presentation

o Smartphone/camera shooting

• Independently manage small-scale content shoots.

• Coordinate with models, influencers, makeup artists and other team members when required.

• Ensure all content is visually aligned with the Lakyou Beauty brand identity.

5. VIDEO EDITING

The candidate should be capable of independently editing the content they create.

Responsibilities include:

• Edit Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.

• Edit product videos and tutorials.

• Edit UGC-style videos.

• Create engaging hooks within the first few seconds of the video.

• Use appropriate:

o Cuts

o Transitions

o Text overlays

o Captions

o Music

o Sound effects

o Motion effects

o Speed ramps

o Visual effects

• Sync videos with trending music and sounds where relevant.

• Perform basic colour correction and visual enhancement.

• Ensure appropriate sound quality and audio balance.

• Maintain a consistent editing style across Lakyou Beauty content.

• Repurpose existing footage into multiple content formats.

• Edit content according to different platform requirements.

• Deliver high-quality edits within agreed timelines.

• Continuously improve editing techniques according to current social media trends.

Preferred Editing Tools

Candidates should have experience with one or more of the following:

• CapCut

• Adobe Premiere Pro

• Final Cut Pro

• VN

• After Effects

• Other professional video-editing software

The Content Creator will play an important role in maintaining and strengthening Lakyou Beauty's visual identity.

Responsibilities include:

• Understand Lakyou Beauty's brand personality and aesthetic.

• Maintain consistency across all visual content.

• Ensure consistency in:

o Colours

o Typography

o Editing style

o Music

o Transitions

o Composition

o Lighting

o Product presentation

• Develop a strong understanding of what visually represents the Lakyou Beauty brand.

• Ensure trending content still feels like Lakyou Beauty and not generic social media content.

• Balance trends with the brand's unique personality.

• Maintain a premium, clean and aesthetically appealing visual standard.

• Continuously improve the overall visual quality of Lakyou Beauty's social media presence.

The candidate should have a strong understanding of social media culture and emerging trends.

• Contribute to the weekly and monthly content calendar.

• Plan content around:

o Product launches

• Maintain a structured pipeline of upcoming content.

• Ensure there is a continuous flow of fresh content.

• Coordinate with Marketing, Social Media, Influencer and Design teams.

• Ensure content is completed and delivered within deadlines.

• Manage multiple content requirements simultaneously.

• Prioritise content based on campaigns and business requirements.

12. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 1–3 years of experience in content creation, social media, beauty, fashion, lifestyle or a related industry.

• Experience working with a beauty, makeup, skincare or cosmetics brand is highly preferred.

• Strong portfolio/showreel demonstrating previous work.

• Experience creating Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.

• Experience with UGC and influencer content is an advantage.

• Basic graphic design skills are an advantage.

• Experience with Canva, Photoshop or similar tools is a plus.

• Comfortable appearing on camera is an advantage.

• Knowledge of AI-based creative and content tools is a plus.

• Basic understanding of social media analytics and content performance is an advantage.
