What they need

Denstone College is seeking a creative and driven Content Creator to capture and share life across the College, from Pre-Prep to Sixth Form and boarding.

Designed as a graduate or internship-style role, this is an exceptional opportunity for a university student or recent graduate looking to start a career in creative marketing and gain highly practical work experience.

To support this immersive experience, on-site accommodation is offered as part of the package, providing an excellent foundation to build a rich, professional portfolio in a dynamic setting.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you will provide engaging photography and videography for marketing purposes across everything the College has to offer.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing professional photography for the website and key marketing campaigns, alongside short and medium-form video content.
  • Supporting media coverage of key marketing and admissions events.
  • Planning and storyboarding shoots, liaising with staff and pupils to organise them.
  • Taking day-to-day photography, including pupil and staff headshots.
  • Handling post-production on all projects, including editing, colour, audio, captions and subtitles.
  • Managing the content bank, ensuring files are clearly named, tagged and organised for future use.
  • Championing the Denstone College Sports social media pages, including helping to develop a new branding concept.
  • Supporting posting and monitoring across all other College social media accounts, and supporting the student social media team with their projects.
  • Sending all content to the Director of Marketing for approval before publishing.
  • Supporting imagery and content uploads on the College website, along with third-party sites where appropriate.
  • Checking photo permissions before any image or video is used, in line with the College's safeguarding and data protection policies.
  • Following all College policies, in particular Child protection, Health and Safety, and GDPR.
  • Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.
  • Carrying out any other duties which may reasonably be requested of you.

About You

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in education and a professional, approachable manner with pupils, parents, and staff.

You will bring:

  • Current university studies or recent graduate status, seeking hands-on work experience.
  • Photography and videography experience, supported by a required portfolio.
  • Post-production experience using software such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or Lightroom.
  • The ability to capture, edit and publish content quickly for documentary-style social media.
  • Confident use of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok, along with strong copywriting and proofreading skills.
  • Storyboarding and content planning skills, with good organisation and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Discretion, integrity, and flexibility, as hours run Monday to Friday with some evenings and Saturdays required for events.
  • Desirable: Drone experience, Canva Pro experience (or willingness to learn), and experience with social media analytics and scheduling tools.
  • Willingness to consent to apply for an enhanced DBS.
