About FoodLoot

FoodLoot is Karachi's food rescue app. Restaurants, cafés and bakeries list their unsold food at the end of the day as Surprise Bags, and customers reserve them in the app for up to 70% off. The customer gets a good meal cheap, the vendor recovers money on food they'd have thrown out, and the food doesn't end up in a landfill.

We're early. What we post this month shapes how the whole city understands what FoodLoot is.

What you'll do

• Shoot and edit short-form video for Instagram Reels and TikTok — vendor visits, bag reveals, pickup runs, behind-the-counter footage
• Photograph Surprise Bags and vendor spaces well enough to make a PKR 400 bag look worth showing a friend
• Write captions in FoodLoot's voice: casual, funny, English and Roman Urdu mixed, never corporate
• Own a weekly content calendar and actually keep it filled
• Travel to partner cafés and bakeries across Karachi to capture content on location
• Reply to comments and DMs, and jump on trends fast enough that they're still trends
• Track what performed and tell us why, so next month's content is better than this month's

What we're looking for

• A portfolio. Reels, TikToks, a food page you run, coursework — anything that shows you can make something people stop scrolling for. This matters more than your CV.
• Comfortable shooting on a phone and editing in CapCut, Canva, VN, or similar
• Fluent in written English and Roman Urdu, with a feel for how Karachi actually talks online
• Genuinely online — you know what's trending this week, not last quarter
• Based in Karachi and able to travel to vendor locations
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from any degree — we don't care which one

Nice to have

• Food or product photography experience
• Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Lightroom
• Comfortable appearing on camera yourself
• You've grown an account of your own, however small
