Content Development Officer

About the Job

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Content Development Officer to support the company's communications and brand-building initiatives through impactful storytelling and content development. This role is responsible for creating, refining, and managing communication materials across multiple platforms to help strengthen stakeholder engagement, promote key initiatives, and ensure consistent brand messaging.

What You'll Do

• Create compelling content for both internal and external audiences, including articles, social media posts, captions, press releases, scripts, speeches, presentations, company profiles, and other corporate communication materials.

• Edit, proofread, and fact-check content to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand standards and communication objectives.

• Repurpose long-form content into engaging short-form formats suitable for digital and social media platforms.

• Develop content plans and editorial calendars that support the Corporate Communications team's strategic goals.

• Collaborate with multimedia and communications teams to develop meaningful and engaging stories that highlight company initiatives, achievements, and culture.

• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate communications programs, activities, and initiatives.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or any related field.

Experience

• Experience in professional writing, editing, content creation, corporate communications, public relations, journalism, marketing communications, or related areas.
• Background in agency, corporate, nonprofit, media, newsroom, campaign, or content marketing environments is an advantage.
• Experience collaborating with designers, multimedia specialists, or video editors and working within structured content review and approval processes.

Knowledge and Skills

• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
• Strong understanding of audience-focused communication and persuasive writing techniques.
• Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging, and accessible content.
• Sound knowledge of grammar, editorial standards, content accuracy, and ethical communication practices.
• Familiarity with social media, digital content, and email marketing platforms.
• Understanding of brand voice, messaging, content strategy, and corporate reputation management.
• Strong research, fact-checking, and analytical skills.
