What they need

Condé Nast is a global media company producing the highest quality content with a footprint of more than 1 billion consumers in 32 territories through print , digital , video and social platforms . The company’s portfolio includes many of the world’s most respected and influential media properties including Vogue, Vanity Fair, Glamour, Self, GQ, The New Yorker, Condé Nast Traveler/Traveller, Allure, AD, Bon Appétit and Wired, among others.

The Content Integrity Editor works closely with the fact-checking and copyediting teams within the Content Integrity Group (CIG) to uphold Condé Nast’s editorial standards by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, clarity, and integrity of digital and print content across its English-language publications. Based in the Mexico network hub, this role works under the supervision of senior team members and in coordination with fact-checkers, copy editors, legal affairs editors, and global workflow leadership.

The Content Integrity Editor ensures that published material is thoroughly vetted for factual accuracy and style consistency, aligned with Condé Nast’s editorial and ethical standards, and appropriate for its intended audience. This role requires curiosity, skepticism, attention to detail, and a commitment to journalistic rigor. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable conducting research and verification, and refining copy for readability and consistency.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Copyedit content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, clarity, tone, consistency, and readability
  • Apply The Chicago Manual of Style , Merriam-Webster Dictionary , AP Stylebook , and brand-specific style guides accurately and consistently
  • Identify wording that may introduce factual ambiguity, unintended meaning, logical inconsistencies, or potential editorial concerns
  • Verify names, dates, statistics, quotes, and all factual claims across digital and print content
  • Conduct source checks and ensure accurate citation of original materials
  • Flag inconsistencies, unsupported assertions, or potentially misleading phrasing
  • Collaborate with editors, writers, and legal affairs to resolve factual queries
  • Apply cultural and contextual awareness to content involving sensitive topics
  • Track assignments and deadlines; communicate promptly about any blockers or delays
  • Support brand tone, accuracy, and clarity across platforms

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • Native-level English (spoken and written) required, with a strong command of idiomatic usage and editorial tone
  • 1–3 years of professional experience in journalism, copyediting, proofreading, research, fact-checking, or editorial production
  • Strong research skills, familiarity with reputable sourcing practices, and attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of copyediting principles and style guides such as The Chicago Manual of Style , AP Stylebook , Merriam-Webster Dictionary , and brand-specific style guides.
  • Conversational Spanish preferred
  • Excellent judgment, communication skills, and a collaborative working style
  • Strong time management; ability to juggle multiple assignments under deadlines
  • Comfortable using editorial tools (Google Docs, InCopy, CMS platforms, etc.)
  • Receptive to feedback, committed to quality and accuracy, and adaptable to different publication styles
