Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive WordPress Webmaster & SEO Specialist to oversee, maintain, and optimize our portfolio of company websites. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical web development, content management, and digital marketing. You will be fully responsible for day-to-day site administration via WordPress, hands-on coding, and troubleshooting. Additionally, you have knowledge in driving traffic by implementing technical SEO strategies, managing metadata/tags, and setting up web analytics tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• WordPress Site Management: Oversee daily operations for WordPress websites, including content publishing, user access control, and structural updates.
• Coding & Troubleshooting: Write and edit clean code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP) to customize themes, modify layouts, and resolve plugin conflicts or core system bugs.
• Routine Maintenance: Execute routine WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates while ensuring zero downtime through proper testing in staging environments.
• SEO Implementation: Execute on-page and technical SEO strategies. Responsible for entering title tags, meta descriptions, image alt text, and structuring schema markup to maximize search visibility.
• Analytics & Tracking Setup: Set up, configure, and maintain analytics tracking properties (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager) to accurately monitor site traffic and user behavior.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize site speed (Core Web Vitals), asset compression, mobile responsiveness, and security protocols (SSL, backups, malware scanning).

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience managing, developing, and optimizing multiple WordPress websites simultaneously.
• WordPress Expertise: Deep understanding of the WordPress ecosystem, including theme customization, page builders (e.g., Elementor, Divi), and plugin management.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in front-end development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and a working knowledge of PHP and MySQL for WordPress troubleshooting.
• SEO & Analytics Mastery: Proven experience with SEO plugins (e.g., Yoast, Rank Math), Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and Google Search Console.
• Problem-Solving: Strong debugging skills with the ability to isolate layout issues, script errors, broken links, and server/hosting problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing multi-site WordPress networks or using website management tools
• Basic graphic design skills or experience formatting multimedia assets for the web.
• Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles.
