ABOUT JJS & ASSOCIATES
JJS & Associates is a Santa Fe-based marketing and communications firm serving a diverse portfolio of clients across Northern New Mexico and beyond — from nonprofits and civic organizations to senior living communities, franchise brands, and regional publications. We're a startup agency with a collaborative team that values organized execution, brand consistency, and genuine partnership with our clients.
POSITION SUMMARY
JJS & Associates is seeking a full-time Content Manager to own content across our clients' marketing channels — social media, email marketing, websites, and print publications (magazine production, fundraising materials, annual reports, brochures, and more). This role is the engine that keeps client content moving: publishing on schedule, maintaining brand consistency across accounts (including franchise brands), staying responsive to clients and platform engagement, creating and managing effective email marketing campaigns, and supporting the team with design work ranging from presentations to one-off ad creative.
The role also carries a strong editorial and print dimension, supporting print and long-form deliverables across the client portfolio, from fundraising materials and annual reports to brochures and collateral.
The ideal candidate is equal parts producer, editor, and strategist — someone who thrives on juggling multiple accounts and channels, catches details others miss, and keeps clients, contributors, and teammates confident that nothing is falling through the cracks.
Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media
- Keep client content calendars current, accurate, and running on schedule, coordinating with account leads on upcoming campaigns, events, and seasonal priorities.
- Maintain brand consistency across franchise accounts, ensuring voice, visuals, and messaging align with each brand's standards across all locations and channels.
- Assist in monitoring platform engagement and respond to comments, messages, and community activity in a timely, on-brand manner.
- Own the social media workflow to ensure projects keep moving forward, tracking edits, comments, and approvals, and notifying appropriate team members such as graphic designers or the scheduling team.
- Track content performance and surface insights and recommendations to account leads and clients.
Email Marketing
- Build, schedule, and send client and internal email campaigns and newsletters, including copy assembly, formatting, list management, and QA.
- Coordinate email content with broader editorial calendars so messaging stays aligned across channels.
- Monitor deliverability and engagement metrics and recommend improvements.
Design Support
- Support the team with design work ranging from client presentations to one-off projects such as ad creative, using established brand guidelines and templates.
- Prepare and format design assets to spec for print, digital, and advertising placements.
- Note: this role does not include social media content design; social graphics are produced by an internal social design team.
Client Responsiveness
- Stay responsive to client emails, requests, and approvals, keeping turnaround times short and expectations clear.
- Flag risks, delays, or scope questions to account leads early.
Websites
- Create graphic content for client websites — blog cover images, home page imagery, banners, and other on-site visuals — consistent with each client's brand standards.
- Coordinate website graphics with social, email, and print channels so visual identity stays consistent everywhere a client shows up.
- Coding/web development not required.
Print & Publications
- Support print and long-form deliverables across the client portfolio, including fundraising materials, annual reports, brochures, and other collateral — from content gathering and copy through proofing and production handoff.
- Coordinate with designers, printers, and clients to keep print projects on spec, on brand, and on deadline.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in social media management, content marketing, or a related role — agency or multi-account experience strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with social media scheduling and management tools, and with email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Service Minder or similar).
- Experience with monday.com strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar field OR 8+ years relevant experience.
- Working design skills in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite, with a strong eye for brand consistency.
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone across distinct client voices.
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail — comfortable managing multiple calendars, trackers, and deadlines at once.
- Strong, proactive collaborator who is responsive to clients and teammates alike.
Nice to Have
- Paid media buying experience is a big plus — planning, purchasing, and managing paid placements across social, search, digital, and/or traditional media, including budget pacing and performance reporting.
- Experience with print production processes (specs, proofs, working with printers).
- Familiarity with franchise or multi-location brand marketing.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $60,000 – $65,000, commensurate with experience. [Benefits summary: PTO, holidays, health coverage, professional development, etc.]
