About us

The Leukaemia Foundation is on an exciting transformation journey to deliver greater impact to our key stakeholders and the Australian community. Join a national organisation standing with Australia to help cure and conquer every blood cancer – with care. Together we're attacking every blood cancer, from every direction, in every way we can. Now more than ever, the path to conquering blood cancer requires us to work together and ensure 100% access to the right information, the best treatments, the latest trials, tests and diagnostic tools; and the best supportive care to help people not just to survive - but also to live well.

Working closely with Corporate Affairs, Marketing and Community Hub stakeholders, you'll develop and deliver local content that supports business objectives, promotes our services and shares the community impact of our Health Services, Retail, Volunteering and Café programs, all while keeping everything aligned with our brand standards and communications framework.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinating and consolidating content across digital, social media and internal communication channels
  • Writing clear, engaging, audience-focused copy in line with our brand guidelines
  • Coordinating local photography, videography and graphic design requirements
  • Capturing and promoting stories that highlight Community Hub services and needs
  • Optimising local social channels and supporting online community management
  • Tracking content performance and recommending ways to continuously improve

What you'll bring

  • Experience in content marketing, communications or digital marketing
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills
  • Experience managing social media channels and digital content
  • Ability to build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Understanding of brand governance and experience working within marketing and communications frameworks
  • Experience using content management systems and social media scheduling platforms is desirable
  • An undergraduate qualification or equivalent experience

A few more things

  • A current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one) is required before starting
  • Standard probity checks apply
  • Occasional domestic travel and after-hours work may be required; a current driver's licence is needed

Why join us

You'll be part of a team that's genuinely proud of its impact, working on stories that matter and content that connects our community with the services they need. It's a chance to make a tangible difference for Australians facing blood cancer, right here on the Sunshine Coast.

  • Ongoing training and development
  • Social and well-being activities
  • Employee Assistance Program
