Content Marketing Virtual Assistant

Job Summary:
We're announcing an opening for an experienced Marketing and Community Manager to help build and grow a membership community in the adventure travel space. The role blends community management, content creation, and design, with responsibility for onboarding new members, producing weekly email content, and keeping the community active and engaged. The successful applicant will be an exceptional writer with a strong creative eye, proven experience running an online community platform, and the confidence to recommend strategy rather than wait for direction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operation of an online membership community, including onboarding new members and supporting them through the full member lifecycle
• Research, write, and publish weekly email content on travel ideas, gear reviews, destination inspiration, and health and wellness topics
• Carry out competitive and inspirational research to support the content calendar and community strategy
• Plan and run marketing campaigns that attract, convert, and retain members
• Create graphic design assets for web pages, branding, logos, and community materials
• Edit photo and video content for community channels and marketing use
• Monitor community and content analytics, interpret performance data, and translate findings into strategic and tactical recommendations
• Coordinate member welcome kits, including sourcing and managing merchandise and fulfillment vendors
• Keep content files, assets, and publishing schedules organized
• Recommend tools and platforms that improve content production and community operations

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience managing an online community platform such as Mighty Networks, Circle, or similar
• Exceptional English writing skills and the ability to produce polished, original long and short-form content (AI may be used as a support tool only, never to write the content)
• Strong experience with content research, planning, and publishing
• Email marketing experience, including writing and sending regular newsletters
• Graphic design ability for web and social assets using tools such as Canva, Photoshop, or equivalent
• Basic photo and video editing skills
• Comfortable reading analytics and turning numbers into clear recommendations
• Significant hands-on experience in a comparable role, not entry level
• Responsible, thorough, and able to work without hand-holding
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, organized approach

Preferred Skills:

• Background in travel, outdoor, adventure, or lifestyle content
• Experience with membership or subscription-based businesses
• Knowledge of health, wellness, and fitness topics
• Experience coordinating merchandise, print, or fulfillment vendors
• Familiarity with Google Workspace and modern marketing and project management tools
• Ability to manage several projects at the same time and help shape process in an early-stage environment
