What they need
Content Operator
KITX Group | Reports to Andrew Kitley, Managing Director
The role in short
You turn one hour of Andrew Kitley's time each week into a full week of published content. He is the source. You are the engine.
This is a production role, not a strategy role. The strategy exists. The audience exists. What is missing is someone who can capture what Andrew knows, shape it into posts, clips and emails, publish it on schedule, and route the leads it creates back to him.
It suits someone who likes shipping, writes fast and clean, and would rather publish five good things a week than plan one perfect campaign a quarter.
About Andrew and the group
Andrew Kitley is Managing Director and co-founder of Kitall, a structural, civil and temporary works engineering consultancy founded in 2018. He has 20+ years in construction, with projects including Heathrow Terminal 2, Tottenham Hotspur stadium and 22 Bishopsgate.
He already has an engaged LinkedIn audience, with posts averaging around 9,000 impressions.
The businesses you will create content for:
- Kitall - Structural, civil and temporary works engineering, including cladding remediation. 2,000+ projects delivered.
- Cheat Mode - AI training for the UK construction industry, delivered in cohorts.
- Urban Matrix - Site survey, testing and investigation.
- Ironstone Developments - Property development and construction.
- NeoByte - Software studio.
Construction buys from people it trusts. That is why Andrew's voice comes first and the company pages come second.
What you will do
The week runs on one fixed rhythm:
- Capture. Run a 60 to 90 minute weekly session with Andrew. You bring the questions and the topics. He brings the stories, opinions and site experience. Record everything.
- Collect. Pull in raw material between sessions: voice notes, site photos and footage, project wins, client questions.
- Produce. Turn that material into finished content in Andrew's voice.
- Publish. Schedule and post to an agreed weekly calendar. Nothing goes out late.
- Engage. Manage comments and DMs. Reply in Andrew's voice to routine messages and flag real leads to him the same day.
- Report. Send a one-page weekly summary: what went out, what worked, what leads came in.
Weekly output once you are up to speed:
- LinkedIn posts on Andrew's profile - 4 to 5 per week
- Short video clips (site and talking head) - 2 to 3 per week
- Company page posts (Kitall and Cheat Mode) - 3 per week each, mostly repurposed
- Email newsletter - 1 per fortnight
You will also keep a content bank: a running library of stories, case studies, stats and photos so there is never a blank week.
Scope and priorities
Your time is split by priority, not shared equally across five brands.
Priority Channel Share of your time
- Andrew's personal LinkedIn and video 50%
- Kitall company content 20%
- Cheat Mode company content and cohort launches 20%
- Urban Matrix, Ironstone, NeoByte 10%, repurposed content only
What is not in the role:
- Brand strategy, rebrands or visual identity work
- Paid advertising
- Website builds
- PR and events
If those needs come up, flag them. Do not absorb them.
What success looks like
You are measured on pipeline, not popularity. Impressions and followers are tracked but they are not the goal.
Measure and why it matters
- Inbound enquiries attributed to content: The main number. Tracked weekly per business.
- Qualified DMs and conversations handed to Andrew: Shows content is reaching buyers, not just peers.
- Cheat Mode seats sold through content: Direct revenue from your work.
- Publishing consistency: Posts shipped against the calendar. Target is 100%.
- Andrew's time spent: Must stay under 90 minutes a week.
Targets are set in week one against the current baseline.
The first 90 days:
- Days 1 to 30. Learn the businesses and Andrew's voice. Build the content calendar and content bank. Publishing runs at full volume on Andrew's profile by week three.
- Days 31 to 60. Kitall and Cheat Mode pages running to schedule. Video clips going out weekly. First newsletter sent. Lead tracking in place.
- Days 61 to 90. Clear evidence of enquiries coming from content. A documented system that runs without Andrew chasing it. Review at day 90 decides whether the role continues and grows.
Who we are looking for
Must have
- A track record of ghostwriting or producing content for a founder or senior leader, with results you can show
- Strong LinkedIn writing: hooks, structure, plain language, no corporate filler
- Short-form video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere or similar), including captions
- The ability to interview: you can pull a good story out of a busy person in ten minutes
- Reliability. You hit the calendar every week without being chased
- Comfort with AI tools for transcription, drafting and repurposing
Good to have
- Experience in construction, engineering, property or another B2B trade sector
- Email newsletter experience
- Basic design skills (Canva or Figma) for carousels and graphics
Probably not a fit if
- You want to spend your time on strategy decks rather than publishing
- You need detailed briefs before you can start
- You write in a polished corporate voice. Andrew's style is direct, opinionated and plain spoken
You do not need an engineering background. You do need the curiosity to learn what temporary works, cladding remediation and scaffold design actually involve, because the audience will spot it if you don't.
