Job Title: Content Specialist - Amazon

Role Summary Own the end-to-end development of our toy product line, from concept through production-ready handoff. You'll drive sourcing, design, costing, and supplier execution to bring competitive, profitable, safe products to market on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full product development lifecycle for assigned toy categories: concept, design, sampling, costing, and pre-production approval.
• Source and qualify overseas suppliers (primarily Asia); negotiate pricing, MOQs, and tooling terms.
• Build and maintain target costs; analyze landed cost (FOB, freight, duty/tariff) to hit margin requirements.
• Partner with design/engineering on specs, materials, and packaging; review and approve samples for fit, function, and aesthetics.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. toy safety standards (ASTM F963, CPSIA, CPSC) and coordinate required testing.
• Manage development timelines and the sample approval process to meet retailer launch windows.
• Collaborate with sales, sourcing, and QA; support retailer line reviews and customer presentations.
• Track competitive products, pricing, and trends to inform the assortment roadmap.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product development, sourcing, or merchandising — toys, juvenile, or consumer hard/soft goods preferred.
• Experience working with overseas factories and managing costing/negotiation.
• Working knowledge of toy safety regulations (ASTM F963, CPSIA) a strong plus.
• Strong project management; able to juggle multiple SKUs and deadlines.
• Comfortable with cost sheets, spec sheets, and PD tracking tools.
• Willingness to travel internationally (factory visits, trade shows).

Salary $175,000
