Content Writer

We are seeking a creative, skilled, and detail-oriented Content Writer to develop engaging, informative, and high-quality content for digital and traditional platforms. The ideal candidate should have excellent writing and research skills, a strong understanding of different audiences, and the ability to produce clear and compelling content that supports the company’s marketing and communication goals.

Job Description

• Research, write, edit, and proofread high-quality content for various platforms.
• Create website content, blog posts, articles, newsletters, social media posts, and marketing materials.
• Develop engaging and informative content based on assigned topics and target audiences.
• Conduct research to ensure content is accurate, relevant, and up to date.
• Work with the marketing and creative teams to develop content strategies and campaigns.
• Write compelling copy for advertisements, promotional materials, email campaigns, and product descriptions.
• Adapt writing style and tone to suit different audiences, platforms, and brand guidelines.
• Develop content calendars and ensure content is delivered according to schedule.
• Optimize written content for search engines (SEO) using relevant keywords and best practices.
• Review and edit existing content to improve clarity, accuracy, grammar, and engagement.
• Monitor content performance and recommend improvements based on audience engagement.
• Stay informed about industry trends, current topics, and emerging content formats.
• Collaborate with designers, social media managers, marketing officers, and other team members.
• Maintain consistency in brand voice, messaging, and editorial standards.
• Ensure all content is original, well-researched, and free from grammatical and factual errors.
• Manage multiple writing assignments and meet tight deadlines.

Requirements/Skills

• Bachelor’s degree, HND, or OND in English, Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Proven years of experience in content writing, copywriting, journalism, digital marketing, or a related role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong grammar, spelling, editing, and proofreading abilities.
• Excellent research and information-gathering skills.
• Good understanding of SEO and digital content writing.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing is an advantage.
• Ability to write in different tones and styles for different audiences.
• Strong creativity and storytelling skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Google Docs.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a creative team.
• A portfolio of published articles, blog posts, social media content, or other writing samples is an advantage.

Pay: ₦100,000.00 per month
