Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting and editing press releases, media pitches, and other public relations materials to effectively communicate key messages.
• Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and target audiences to inform content strategies and media outreach efforts.
• Support media relations activities by building relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers to enhance brand visibility.
• Manage social media accounts by creating content calendars, scheduling posts, and engaging with followers to foster community growth.
• Proofread and edit all written materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to AP style guidelines.
• Collaborate with graphic designers and marketing teams to produce visually appealing content that captures attention across digital channels.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or related field.
• Strong writing skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling messages tailored for diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with AP style (Associated Press Stylebook) for journalistic writing standards.
• Excellent research skills to gather relevant information efficiently.
• Experience with social media management tools and platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or LinkedIn is preferred.
• Knowledge of media relations strategies and public speaking skills are a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Basic graphic design skills or familiarity with website management tools is advantageous.
