Continental Breakfast Attendant/Banquet Server

Summary

Responsibilities include plating food on platters, setting up and maintaining Buffet during Breakfast Service times. Clearing used dishware/glassware/silverware and maintaining cleanliness in our Breakfast Service area. At end of service responsibilities include breakdown of the Buffet, cleaning the area and re-stocking product for the next day's service. Our ideal candidates are able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and have a friendly, customer-focused attitude. Ultimately, the role of the catering staff is to provide an excellent dining experience, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction at all times.

Additionally a Banquet Server position is also in need of being filled. That person would be serving our guests during banquet functions in private meeting rooms. Set up banquet room as instructed by Supervisor to include beverage service, buffet service, linen, service ware and glassware. Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner. Serve the food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the Guests to ensure consistency throughout the banquet.

• Replenish beverages and food as necessary
• Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function.
• Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages when they might be offered.
• Perform any other catering job-related duties as assigned.
• Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
• Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.g., coffee maker with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
