Continental Chef

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Continental Chef to prepare high-quality continental dishes while maintaining excellent taste, presentation, hygiene, and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of Continental dishes, including pasta, pizzas, steaks, grills, soups, salads, sauces, and other European-style cuisine.
• Ensure consistent taste, quality, portion size, and presentation.
• Prepare ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards.
• Maintain proper food storage, temperature control, and hygiene practices.
• Monitor food quality and minimize wastage.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and workstations.
• Coordinate with the Sous Chef and other kitchen staff during service.
• Assist in menu planning and developing new Continental dishes.
• Ensure timely preparation of food during busy service periods.
• Follow hotel/restaurant food safety and sanitation standards.
• Train and guide junior kitchen staff when required.
• Maintain proper stock levels and inform the supervisor about shortages.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Continental Chef / Commis Chef / CDP – Continental.
• Good knowledge of Continental cooking techniques and ingredients.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Culinary qualification/diploma is preferred.
• Experience in a hotel, restaurant, resort, or banquet kitchen is an advantage.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
