Duties

• Safely operate a box truck, van, or personal vehicle to deliver packages along designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
• Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while practicing safe lifting practices
• Conduct thorough route driving to ensure timely deliveries and pickups, maintaining accurate delivery logs via mobile devices or onboard systems
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with recipients, answering questions, and ensuring package security during delivery
• Assist with warehouse operations when necessary, including moving packages within the facility and supporting inventory management
• Use manual transmission vehicles when required, demonstrating proficient driving skills in various vehicle types including commercial trucks and box trucks
• Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, weight handling in the workplace, and proper use of manual handling equipment

Experience

• Prior delivery driver experience or courier work with a strong understanding of route driving and package handling preferred
• Warehouse experience including material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks or similar tools is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to lift heavy loads safely and consistently follow safe lifting practices
• Knowledge of commercial driving regulations, including DOT compliance and weight restrictions for vehicles
• Experience operating automatic transmission vehicles and familiarity with mobile devices used for route navigation and delivery documentation
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally during deliveries
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing routes or delivery schedules while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency

Pay: $150.00 - $190.00 per day
