  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout each project.
  • Safely operate painting equipment, hand tools, ladders, and other equipment as required.
  • Identify wall or surface conditions that may require additional preparation or repair and communicate concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Follow established safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Minimize disruption to residents, staff, and daily community activities while completing assigned work.
  • Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when working in resident areas.
  • Work efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
  • Assist with moving or protecting light furnishings and other items as needed to complete work safely.
  • Follow the project schedule and communicate progress, delays, or material needs to the supervisor.
  • Perform other duties related to the special project as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to safely use ladders and perform physical tasks associated with painting and surface preparation.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent work schedule.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work respectfully and professionally around residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Experience working in senior living, healthcare, residential, commercial, or other occupied facilities is a plus.

The successful candidate will help transform our Independent Living hallways into a fresh, clean, and welcoming environment for our residents while maintaining a safe and respectful atmosphere throughout the project.
