Contract Accounts Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Ledger & Account Closure: Lead final month-end and year-end closing routines. Reconcile, adjust, and clear General Ledger accounts, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and intercompany balances.
• Tax Audit & Clearances: Manage final tax computations and audit activities to secure official Tax Clearance Certificates from the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) and Sales and Service Tax (SST) audit clearance from the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD).
• Asset Realization & Liquidation Accounting: Account for gains or losses on equipment sales, inventory write-offs, scrap asset disposals, and process final severance or payroll obligations.
• Statement of Affairs Preparation: Draft comprehensive Statement of Affairs, cash flow liquidations, and operational balance sheets for executive review and external liquidators.
• Audit & Banking Finalization: Coordinate external audit activities, assist the liquidator in final financial distributions, and oversee the systematic closure of corporate bank accounts.

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in manufacturing, with specific background in financial closures, corporate liquidations, or statutory tax audits.
• Technical Expertise: Deep proficiency in Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS/IFRS), corporate tax clearance procedures, SST compliance, and final audit preparation.
• Competencies: Advanced financial analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to execute strict liquidation timelines.
