Contract Administrator

Role

Aster Alliance is the property partner to the non-bank, insolvency and banking sectors across Australia. We specialise in end to end property asset management, delivering integrated services across collections support, construction advisory, construction delivery and the management of real estate sales processes.

As Aster Alliance’s property portfolio continues to grow rapidly, an opportunity has arisen for a Contract Administrator to join our expanding team in Victoria.

The role is suited to a commercial and financial leader with experience managing the construction project lifecycle and a track record of project delivery achieving compliance, cost control, and risk mitigation.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Senior Management in overseeing the delivery of projects from initiation to completion, including;

• Assist with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure projects meet nominated timelines and quality standards.
• Coordinate with 3rd party design consultants (i.e. architects, engineers, town planners etc.) subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams alike to maintain seamless project execution.
• Contribute to programme wide and project specific risk mitigation and strategic discussions.
• Critical review of project scope, deliverables and resourcing to identify and implement profitable outcomes.
• Preparation of internal and external project status reporting.
• Support contractor tender, negotiation, award and onboarding of parties.
• Support administration of authority related permit application and approval processes.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and day‑to‑day support to the project team and Senior Management.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills & Experience

• Past experience in one or more of the following industry roles;

  • Contract Administrator (minimum 5 yrs)
  • Site Construction Manager (minimum 5 yrs)
  • Quantity Surveyor (minimum 5 yrs)
  • Project Manager (minimum 5yrs, client-side)
  • Project Manager (minimum 3yrs, contractor-side)

• Past experience in management and delivery of residential and or mixed use development projects ranging from $5m - $30m.

• Experience in management and administration of AS Construction Contracts.

• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project management principles.

• Proven success in management of Residential and or Commercial mixed use developments on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.

• Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and OH&S legislation.

• Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and construction scheduling platforms.

• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and support a team.

• High integrity, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.

• Full, valid driver’s licence.

• Relevant state Builders Licence (favorable).

• Insurance repair experience (favorable).
