Contract Administrator

Contracts Administrators at Hindmarsh are responsible for procurement, subcontractor management and head contract administration to ensure commercial objectives are achieved and projects are delivered successfully.

As our Adelaide business continues to grow, we're looking for an ambitious Contracts Administrator to join our commercial team. You'll have the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects across the residential, affordable housing, aged care, health and commercial sectors, while developing your career within one of Australia's most respected construction businesses.

Reporting to the Project Manager and working closely with experienced commercial leads, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing subcontract packages, scopes of work, tender evaluations and procurement schedules across multiple trades
• Administering head contracts and subcontract agreements
• Assessing progress claims, variations and subcontractor payments
• Assisting with project forecasting, cost control and commercial reporting using CHEOPS and Aconex
• Building strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and project stakeholders
• Supporting the project team to achieve project financial and contractual objectives

We are looking for team members who have:

• 3–5 years' commercial construction experience, ideally within a head contractor environment
• Experience in Contracts Administration, procurement or commercial project delivery
• Sound understanding of construction processes and contract administration
• Familiarity with contract law principles and relevant construction legislation
• Experience using CHEOPS, Aconex or similar construction software (training will be provided)
• A proactive attitude, strong communication skills and a genuine desire to continue learning
