Paynter Dixon is looking for an experienced Contract Administrator to join our team delivering a major construction project in NSW.

Working closely with the Project Manager, Contract Manager and Senior Contract Administrator, you'll play a key role across procurement, subcontract management, variations, claims, cost control, contractual administration and final account.

The Opportunity

As Contract Administrator, you'll help protect Paynter Dixon's commercial position throughout the project lifecycle.

You'll be responsible for:

• Administering head contracts and subcontracts.
• Managing variations, claims and extensions of time.
• Preparing and assessing progress claims and payment schedules.
• Managing subcontractor procurement, tendering and negotiations.
• Monitoring contractual notices and critical timeframes.
• Supporting monthly cost reporting and forecasting.
• Managing retentions, securities, guarantees and insurance requirements.
• Maintaining accurate and defensible contractual records.
• Identifying commercial risks and escalating them early.
• Working closely with the project team to understand scope, programme and cost impacts.
• Assisting with final accounts and project close-out.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who is commercially switched-on, highly organised and ready to take ownership.

You'll ideally have:

• A tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• 2+ years' construction contract administration experience.
• Experience with variations, progress claims and subcontractor payments.
• Knowledge of Australian Standard-form contracts such as AS 4000, AS 4902, AS 2124, GC21 or NEC.
• Understanding of NSW Security of Payment legislation.
• Strong contractual and commercial awareness.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with systems such as CHEOPS, Procore, Aconex, Procure Pro and Hammertech.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management capability.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• A proactive approach to commercial risk.
• Construction White Card and the right to work in Australia.
