Contract Administrator - Fitout

About the role

Working closely with the Fitout Team Leader & Project Manager, you'll manage the commercial and contractual administration of the project from procurement through to final account on high end fitout and refurbishments projects across Brisbane.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing scopes of work and subcontractor tender packages
• Managing procurement, tender comparisons and recommendations
• Preparing and administering subcontract agreements
• Assessing progress claims and preparing payment schedules
• Managing subcontractor and head contract variations
• Maintaining project cost reports, forecasts and cash flow information
• Preparing contractual notices and project correspondence
• Supporting head contract claims and commercial reporting
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
• Managing project close-out and subcontractor final accounts

About you

• A qualification in construction management, quantity surveying or a related discipline
• At least 3 years' experience as a Contract Administrator with a commercial builder
• Experience in office fitout and refurbishment projects or similarly complex building projects
• Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement and administration
• Sound commercial judgment and attention to detail
• The confidence to raise issues early and communicate clearly
• Strong organisation and follow-through
• A practical approach to balancing contractual discipline with project delivery
• The ability to work collaboratively while remaining accountable for commercial outcomes
