What they need

Contract Attorney (5yrs or more experience)

Do you have a successful track record representing clients, and are you interested in mentoring the next generation of legal professionals? Our firm is seeking an experienced senior attorney who is adept at handling a large caseload and familiar with all aspects of the trial process, particularly drafting pleadings, motions, notices, and working toward a resolution. Your years of experience will also help coach our newer associates toward a similar route to success. If this sounds like a perfect position for you, please send us your resume today.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the discovery process by conducting depositions, issuing interrogatories and requests for the production of documents, and reviewing discovery requests, responses, and responsive discovery materials.
  • Manage a litigation-forward family law caseload from early case strategy through resolution.
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery; analyze evidence and prepare litigation plans.
  • Prepare for and appear at hearings, temporary hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Take and defend depositions; manage discovery disputes and motion practice.
  • Advise clients on legal strategy, likely outcomes, and next steps with clear, timely communication.
  • Collaborate with the firm’s intake and operations team to maintain strong case momentum.
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping and documentation in the firm’s case management system.
  • Negotiate client-focused resolutions and settlements.

Qualifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia.
  • 5 years of litigation experience minimum, with meaningful exposure to family law.
  • Demonstrated courtroom experience (hearings, contested matters, motion practice).
  • Strong writing and legal analysis skills (motions, briefs, discovery).
  • High client-service standards: responsive, professional, emotionally intelligent.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work a case plan.
