La Bonne Vie Personal Chef & Catering is seeking an experienced culinary professional who loves both cooking and teaching to join our team as a Contract Cooking Class Instructor.

Our cooking classes are designed to be educational, interactive and welcoming. We are looking for a chef who can confidently lead a room, teach techniques in an approachable way, keep guests engaged and provide the genuine hospitality our clients expect from La Bonne Vie.

Schedule & Compensation

Classes are typically held Thursday and Friday evenings and at varying times on Saturdays, with additional opportunities for private classes and events.

Each class pays a flat $100 contracted rate and typically requires approximately 4–5 hours total, including preparation, setup, instruction and cleanup. Actual time may vary depending on the class. Classes and hours are not guaranteed and are dependent on bookings and enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up ingredients, equipment and class stations
• Confidently teach and demonstrate a variety of culinary techniques
• Create an engaging, organized and hospitable guest experience
• Manage a class independently when needed
• Maintain LBV standards for food quality, presentation, cleanliness and hospitality
• Complete cleanup and properly reset the kitchen after class
• Help promote upcoming classes and encourage enrollment through appropriate channels
• Represent La Bonne Vie professionally at all times

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 4 years of professional culinary experience — this is a professional chef position, not a home-cook teaching role
• Broad culinary knowledge and strong foundational techniques
• Comfortable speaking, demonstrating and teaching in front of groups
• Able to work independently and manage time effectively
• Warm, engaging and hospitality-focused
• Dependable, organized and committed to consistent quality
• Willing to promote classes and help build attendance

This is an independent contractor opportunity. Classes are dependent on enrollment—when classes fill, there are more opportunities to teach. Additional private events and culinary opportunities may occasionally be available but are not guaranteed.

Pay: $100.00 per day
