Contract Engineer

JOB PURPOSE: The Contract Engineer is responsible for supporting the preparation, review, negotiation, administration, and management of project contracts. The role ensures that all contractual obligations are understood, complied with, and executed within the company's commercial, legal, and operational frameworks.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business, or related field.

Minimum Experience: 3-7 years of experience in contract administration, contract engineering, or commercial roles.

Job-Specific Skills:

• Strong understanding of contract terms, bid documents, and commercial procedures.
• Knowledge of FIDIC, NEC, or other standard contract forms (preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.

Roles and Responsibilities (DETAILED):

• Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts for projects and services.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and liaise with the legal and compliance departments as required.
• Support project teams in interpreting contractual obligations and resolving disputes.
• Maintain accurate records of all contractual documents and correspondence.
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure smooth execution of contracts.
• Approved PMCC for subcontractors and Manufacturers Supply
• KEY RESULT AREAS: (SPECIFIC, MEASUAREBLE, NOT MORE THAN FIVE OR SIX)
• % of contracts prepared/reviewed within agreed turnaround time; zero major contractual errors.
• All variations evaluated, priced, and submitted within contract timelines; % variations approved vs. submitted.
• Accuracy of claims (certified vs. submitted value); reduction in claim rejections or disputes.
• Number of non-compliance issues raised by client/auditor; zero missed contractual notices or deadlines.
• Complete and audit-ready contract records maintained, response time to contractual queries or audits.

Pay: AED13,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
