Contract Executive ( Government contract)

Monthly Salary: 34075

Contract period: 9 months

Location: Shatin

Job duties:

(a) To check English and Chinese transcripts against audio recorded for quality evaluation;

(b) To assist in administration of the Digital Audio Recording and Transcription Services (DARTS) E-Request System;

(c) To liaise with personnel of other sections, departments and contractors on DARTS related matters;

(d) To visit DARTS sites to ensure smooth operation;

(c) To assist in monitoring DARTS equipment, software and services, as well as coordinating the implementation of DARTS projects in the existing and new court buildings; and

(f) To perform any other duties as and when required.

Job requirement:

(a) (i) Level 2 or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination ("HKDSEE"), or equivalent; or

(ii) Level 2/Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination ("HKCEE") or equivalent;

(b) good command of written and spoken English, with Level 3 or above in English Language in the HKDSEE or in the HKCEE, or equivalent;

(c) good command of written Chinese and spoken Cantonese, with Level 3 or above in Chinese Language in the HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent;

(d) at least a total of one year's work experience in-

(i) verbatim reporting of English or Chinese proceedings for courts, hearings, councils or committees in Hong Kong; and/or

(ii) translating documents from Chinese into English and vice versa for courts, hearings, councils or committees in Hong Kong; and/or

(iii)interpreting court proceedings in English and Cantonese in Hong Kong; and/or

(iv)transcribing English and Chinese proceedings from audio records for courts, hearings, councils or committees in Hong Kong; and

(e) good knowledge in PC operation and IT applications, e.g. Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, etc.
