Contract Finance Manager

We have an urgent requirement for an experienced Finance Manager to start in one week, for a 2-3 month contract role (may extend further), for a highly successful, fast paced organsisation.

This is to cover a secondment over a business critical period which includes the preparation for year end (31st December).

You will be CA (or similar) qualified, and have extensive experience in tax, preparing financial statements and strong IFRS / internal controls knowledge.

You will have proven leadership experience, as you will be leading a finance team of 6 - including a senior Accountant (CA qualified).

This role will be a 50/50 split of doing and reviewing/approving - so you need to be comfortable (and had recent experience) in both areas.

We are looking for someone with excellent technical accounting skills, clear communications and the ability to pick things up very quickly.

This is a very busy role and will require someone to work full-time hours (with at least 3 days per week based in Auckland CBD, Wynyard Quarter area).  Please note, if this role was to extend further, that year end is 31st December, so there will be a requirement to work some of the working days over that period.

This contract will be offered as an hourly rate paid via Bureau to a self-employed contractor.
