Contract Manager (Construction / Civil Engineering)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead contract administration and commercial management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review, draft and negotiate contractual terms, agreements and commercial proposals.
• Advise management and project teams on contractual obligations, commercial risks and appropriate contract administration strategies.
• Manage and support tendering, procurement and subcontractor appointment activities.
• Handle progress claims, variations, change orders, Extension of Time (EOT) and other contractual claims.
• Review and manage contractual correspondence with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor project budgets, cash flow, cost forecasts and overall commercial performance.
• Identify contractual and commercial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Support negotiations and resolution of contractual claims and disputes.
• Work closely with Directors, Project Managers, QS teams and other stakeholders on contractual and costing matters.
• Oversee subcontract administration, payment matters and final accounts.
• Support preparation and review of tender documentation and commercial submissions.
• Ensure proper maintenance of contract records and documentation.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building or related discipline.
• Around 8 years or more of relevant experience within the construction industry.
• Strong experience in contract administration, commercial management and/or quantity surveying.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts, variations, claims, EOT, cost control and subcontract administration.
• Familiar with Singapore construction practices and contractual requirements.
• Strong commercial awareness with good negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Able to work independently and manage contractual matters across multiple stakeholders.
• Civil engineering/infrastructure construction experience is preferred.
• Candidates currently working as Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Contracts Executive / Commercial Manager with suitable experience may also be considered.
