Contract Manager DC Operation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven DC Operation Manager to lead and optimize end-to-end warehouse and distribution center operations. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence across inbound, inventory management, order fulfillment, and outbound distribution activities while driving productivity, cost efficiency, service quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will play a strategic role in managing operational resources, developing high-performing teams, implementing technology solutions, and supporting business growth through best-in-class warehouse management practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all distribution center and warehouse operations, including inbound receiving, putaway & storage management, inventory control, picking & packing, and outbound dispatch & distribution
• Develop operational plans and allocate resources, including warehouse space, manpower, and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as forklifts and reach trucks, to meet fluctuating business demands
• Establish, implement, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and service quality
• Ensure operational readiness to support seasonal peaks, business expansion, and evolving customer requirements
• Develop, monitor, and manage key warehouse performance indicators (KPIs), including inbound lead time, inventory accuracy, order accuracy rate, on-time in-full (OTIF), order cycle time, and productivity metrics
• Manage annual warehouse operating expenses (OpEx) and ensure effective cost control
• Drive initiatives to optimize cost per unit and cost per order while maintaining service excellence
• Lead continuous improvement, Lean, and Kaizen projects to eliminate operational waste, improve productivity, and increase overall warehouse performance
• Develop workforce plans and manage staffing requirements for both permanent employees and outsourced labor to align with business volumes
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and team leaders to build a high-performance organization

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in logistics & supply chain management, industrial engineering, business administration, or a related field
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in warehouse, distribution center, or logistics operations
• At least 3-5 years of management-level experience leading large-scale warehouse or distribution center operations
• Proven experience managing high-volume operational environments
• Strong expertise in warehouse operations and inventory management
• Advanced knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
• Demonstrated experience in Lean, Kaizen, continuous improvement, and productivity enhancement programs
• Excellent leadership, people management, and team development skills
• Strong problem-solving and operational decision-making abilities
