Contract System Analyst - Java, Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions

Key responsibilities

• Map and document interfaces between legacy and new systems, ensuring seamless integration and efficient data transfer.
• Perform various software development lifecycle tasks, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
• Develop innovative solutions and undertake product development.
• Create and maintain comprehensive testing documentation for complete systems, ensuring rigorous quality control and adherence to project timelines.
• Produce user manuals for users of new systems, facilitating smooth adoption and maximizing system utilization.

About you

• Proven track record in designing, developing, and maintaining robust RESTful APIs, web services, and system interfaces (XML/JSON).
• Strong programming proficiency across Java, PHP, Python, SQL, and Shell Scripting.
• Deep, versatile SQL proficiency across various relational database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, Sybase, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server), with expertise in query optimization, performance tuning, data migration, and complex system integration.
• Solid experience in application development, enhancement, and production support for enterprise systems, with strong preference for Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
• Hands-on proficiency with PeopleTools, including Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker, and PeopleSoft Query.
• Familiarity with BI Publisher, Process Scheduler, and enterprise batch processing workflows.
• Working knowledge of modern deployment and productivity tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, Jira, and automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with specialized technologies (e.g., PowerBuilder) or modern enterprise platforms (e.g., J2EE application servers (IBM WAS), Microsoft Power Platform).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and system troubleshooting capabilities.
• Clear communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
