Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Contract Systems Specialist (Oracle) to join our eBusiness Systems team supporting Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.15 . This role requires strong hands-on technical expertise in Oracle APEX, Java, Oracle Application Framework (OAF), PL/SQL, SQL, and Oracle Workflow , along with experience supporting Oracle Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) .

The successful candidate will work with minimal supervision to provide both technical and functional support for Oracle EAM and related business applications. This individual will play a key role in application development, system administration, troubleshooting, change management, and continuous improvement .

The position requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams, Oracle Support, and external vendors to ensure reliable application performance and high-quality service delivery. In addition to Oracle EAM, the role will support integrations between Oracle EAM, dataPARC, and the GE Vernova Asset Performance Management (APM) SaaS platform .

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical development, administration, troubleshooting, and production support for Oracle EAM .
• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain custom Oracle applications, extensions, and enhancements.
• Develop and support solutions using Oracle APEX, OAF, PL/SQL, SQL, Java, and Oracle Workflow .
• Provide primary or backup support for integrations between Oracle EAM, dataPARC, and GE Vernova APM .
• Troubleshoot complex application, database, and interface issues in collaboration with Oracle Support and external vendors.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Support system administration, application changes, releases, and production deployments.
• Follow established change management processes and SOX controls .
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and application documentation.
• Identify opportunities for application improvements, automation, and increased system reliability.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of IT application development and production support experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Oracle E-Business Suite experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on OAF customization and Oracle APEX development.
• Strong PL/SQL and SQL development experience.
• Experience troubleshooting enterprise applications, databases, and system integrations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Houston, TX 77002 .

Preferred Qualifications & Competencies

• Hands-on Oracle EAM experience.
• Experience with Oracle EBS R12.2.15 .
• Python development or automation experience.
• Experience supporting SaaS integrations .
• Experience with Boomi or similar integration platforms.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, including Claude , and practical application of AI in development or support activities.
• Experience working with Oracle Support and third-party technology vendors.
