"Contract" Technical Publications Designer

We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Technical Documentation & Graphic Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, formatting, and updating user manuals and technical documentation for household electrical appliances by examining physical product samples.

This position focuses on precision, accuracy, and strong execution using Adobe InDesign. It is ideal for candidates who thrive on structured, procedural tasks and possess strong hands-on graphic production skills rather than artistic or creative design.

Your Tasks

• Manual Creation: Inspect electrical appliance samples and draft step‑by‑step user manuals, safety instructions, and technical diagrams.
• Layout & Publishing: Format manuals using Adobe InDesign, following templates and regulatory guidelines.
• Illustration & Graphics: Produce technical illustrations, line drawings, and icons with Adobe Illustrator.
• Accuracy & Consistency: Ensure specifications, warnings, and procedures match the actual product.
• Document Maintenance: Manage templates, version control, and multi‑language layouts.

Your Qualifications

• High proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator is required.

• 3 years of practical experience in technical publishing, desktop publishing (DTP), manual layout, or graphic production (experience in electrical/electronic consumer products or the Testing and Certification industry is a plus).

• Highly meticulous, systematic, and process-driven with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong hands-on execution skills with a focus on following technical guidelines and exact physical product reference
• Good command of written English and Chinese.
