About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, assess and submit progress claims, payment schedules and supporting documentation, and review subcontractor and supplier invoices for accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare, assess and administer contract variations, extensions of time and claims within required timeframes, maintaining accurate variation registers
  • Support procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, tender documentation, evaluations, subcontract agreements, purchase orders and onboarding (including compliance and insurance requirements)
  • Assist with budget tracking, cost reporting, forecasting, cash flow and final accounts through to project closeout
  • Prepare regular commercial and cost reports for project management and senior stakeholders
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Site Managers and commercial teams, and liaise professionally with clients, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers
  • Support compliance, governance, risk management and audit requirements across your projects

About You

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Sound understanding of construction contracts, subcontract agreements and procurement processes, with the ability to interpret contractual terms, scopes of work, drawings and specifications
  • Proven experience with progress claims, variations, extensions of time and commercial reporting
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) and confidence with construction management systems and document control software
  • High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment
  • Ability to work autonomously, use initiative and maintain confidentiality
  • Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card) and a C class driver’s licence
  • Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Certificate IV in Business or similar (preferred)
