The Qualifications We Seek

• 3 to 5 years of experience in contract administration, construction administration, estimating support, joinery, or a related commercial project role
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Advanced administrative skills with sound judgment to navigate ambiguity and make informed decisions
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and joinery drawings and specifications , with prior exposure to construction documentation preferred
• Confident communication skills with the ability to discuss scope, costs, and project requirements with clients, builders, and architects
• Strong numerical and commercial acumen, with an understanding of how variations and credits affect project profitability
• Strong technology skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly and contribute to the development of a new quoting platform
• Self-motivation and efficiency, with the ability to take ownership of processes from end to end
• Previous experience in construction, joinery, contract administration, or estimating support , highly regarded but not essential
• Strong attitude, aptitude, and willingness to learn

Your Daily Tasks

• Take ownership of each project immediately after sale and serve as the commercial link between the Estimator, client, and delivery and production teams
• Prepare, issue, and track contract variations, including pricing changes, scope adjustments, and credits, through final sign-off
• Interpret architectural drawings and specifications for commercial projects to assess the commercial impact of variations and changes
• Maintain accurate project financial records, including sold value, approved variations, credits, and running contract value
• Input and maintain project and quote data within the new quoting and estimating system and support its rollout and ongoing accuracy
• Liaise with clients, builders, and architects on commercial matters, follow up on approvals, clarify scope, and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare documentation for invoicing and progress claims in accordance with contract terms
• Flag commercial risks and scope creep to Estimating and Management as they arise
• Support the handover of commercial information at project completion, including final accounts and close-out documentation
• Identify opportunities to streamline or standardize recurring administrative tasks as the role and systems mature
