Contracts Administrator

Looking for your next big project? This is an opportunity to join a well-established Tier 1 commercial builder delivering a major $500M+ project in Cairns, with an expected four-year programme and a strong pipeline of future work.

With long-term project security and further opportunities ahead, this is an ideal role for a Contracts Administrator looking to take the next step with a reputable contractor on a significant project.

Responsibilities:

• Manage subcontractor procurement, letting and administration.
• Prepare, review and negotiate subcontract agreements and scopes of work.
• Manage variations, progress claims, payment schedules and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and contractual obligations.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and site team to support project delivery.
• Maintain accurate contract documentation and ensure commercial compliance.

About You:

• Previous experience as a Contracts Administrator within commercial construction.
• Experience delivering large-scale projects with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 builder highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of subcontractor management, procurement and variations.
• Confident negotiating contracts and managing commercial risks.
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work within a high-performing project team.
