Our people are the backbone of our business, and as we continue to grow our national presence, we are looking for an experienced Philippines-based Engineer / Structural & Civil Drawing Specialist to support our Australian operations.

This is a detail-critical position for someone with genuine experience in structural concrete, civil construction and Australian construction documentation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will work closely with DCS Directors, Project Managers, Foremen and site teams across Australia.

Your primary responsibility will be reviewing structural, civil and architectural documentation to identify revisions, discrepancies, variations and quantity impacts before they become problems on site.

You will assist our Australian team with drawing reviews, overlays, revisions, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), document control, variations and project coordination.

Accuracy is critical. We need someone who can receive a revised drawing package, compare it thoroughly against previous documentation and clearly identify what changed, where it changed and what impact that change may have on scope, quantities, cost and construction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete detailed overlays of revised drawings and identify all relevant changes between revisions.

• Overlay and cross-check Structural, Civil and Architectural drawings to identify discrepancies, clashes and inconsistencies between disciplines.

• Review revised and updated drawing packages and accurately identify changes affecting DCS's scope of works.

• Identify drawing revisions that may constitute variations and ensure they are captured for BOQs, estimating and variation purposes.

• Prepare and update Bills of Quantities where required.

• Read and interpret structural and civil drawings prepared in accordance with Australian Standards and Australian construction practices.

• Cross-check drawings, specifications and revisions to identify changes affecting quantities, scope, cost or construction methodology.

• Maintain accurate document control and drawing registers.

• Assist with safety, quality and compliance documentation where required.

• Maintain clear communication with DCS senior management and project teams.

• Thoroughly check your own work before submitting it for review.

SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE

Strong experience with the following is highly regarded:

• Bluebeam Revu – advanced/expert capability preferred
• Procore
• Microsoft Excel
• PDF drawing and document management software
• Quantity take-off and estimating software

You must be comfortable working digitally with large Australian construction drawing packages.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Applicants must have genuine experience in:

• Structural concrete and civil construction.

• Australian structural, civil and architectural drawings.

• Concrete slabs, footings, foundations, pavements and structural works.

• Reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications and details.

• Drawing overlays and revision comparisons.

• Identifying discrepancies between Structural, Civil and Architectural documentation.

• Identifying drawing changes that create potential variations through Contract Drawings to Latest

• BOQs and quantity take-offs.

• Understanding how drawing revisions affect construction scope and quantities.

• Strong document control and organisation.

You must have excellent attention to detail and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.

WORKING HOURS & COMMUNICATION

This is a Philippines-based position supporting our Australian operations.

You must be available to work and communicate with DCS senior management during the required Australian business hours, generally 7:00 AM–5:00 PM Australian Eastern Time, as required by the role.

Our team communicates regularly through WhatsApp, email and other company systems, so reliable communication and availability are essential.

REMUNERATION

Starting wage: AUD $300 per week, paid fortnightly via Wise transfer (If Experienced and can prove you can work fast paced and have attention to detailed $$$$ can be endless with a Relocation Offering to Australia through Sponsorship)

Remuneration and future progression will be reviewed based on demonstrated experience, capability, accuracy, reliability and performance.

We already have valued team members based in the Philippines and are looking to add another skilled, reliable and long-term member to Team DCS.
