Home Independence Experts is seeking a Contracts, Authorizations & Billing Specialist to manage contracts, Medicaid authorizations, and billing for home modifications, durable medical equipment (DME), and accessibility solutions. This role helps ensure services are properly authorized, accurately documented, and billed in accordance with payer requirements so individuals can access the solutions they need to live safely and independently at home.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate contracts, payer agreements, eligibility verification, and related documentation.
• Manage Medicaid and other payer authorization requests, approvals, renewals, and follow-ups.
• Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, medical necessity, and payer requirements.
• Submit and track billing claims for home modifications, DME, and related services.
• Investigate claim denials, billing discrepancies, and payment delays to support timely reimbursement.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, authorizations, claims, and payments.
• Follow applicable Medicaid regulations, payer policies, billing guidelines, and privacy requirements.
• Communicate professionally with payers, referral partners, vendors, and internal team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, accuracy, and efficiency while representing the company with integrity.

• Proficiency with computers, spreadsheets, and administrative software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Medicaid, DME, medical billing, or insurance claims.
• Familiarity with prior authorizations, reimbursement, and claims denials.
• Experience with government contracts, payer agreements, or provider enrollment.
• Knowledge of applicable HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
