CONTRACTS ENGINEER

About the role

We are looking for a Contracts Engineer to join the Contracts team. You will act as the key point of contact for customers for assigned contracts, managing requirements professionally and on time. This role involves working with customers, coordinating across departments, solving problems and managing projects from order through delivery in the Oil & Gas industry.

Key responsibilities

• Review and understand customer Purchase Orders, contract scope, technical requirements, specifications, commercial terms and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate closely with Sales, Engineering, SCM/Purchasing, Production, QA/QC and other internal teams to ensure contract requirements are delivered as planned.
• Monitor and follow up on VDRL, technical documentation, production schedules and customer deliverables to ensure timely submission and completion.
• Manage customer queries, follow up on outstanding actions and proactively address potential delays or issues.
• Attend customer and internal meetings and ensure agreed actions are properly followed through.
• Coordinate and support customer visits and ensure the relevant internal teams are well prepared.
• Monitor order progress through completion, shipment and invoicing.
• Process and maintain Variation Orders (VOs) in the ERP system and ensure changes are properly communicated to relevant departments.
• Prepare and support weekly and monthly contract reports.

About you

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in Contracts, Project Engineering, Project Coordination, Order Management or a related role will be an advantage.
• Oil & Gas industry experience and exposure to high-value projects/contracts are encouraged.
• Good understanding of contract documentation, customer requirements and technical/commercial specifications.
• Strong communication, coordination and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical, organised and detail-oriented, with good problem-solving abilities.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within tight schedules and deadlines.
• Customer-focused, proactive and able to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong team player with the ability to work across different functions and levels of the organisation.
• Comfortable working with ERP systems; experience with IFS would be an advantage.
