Contracts Engineer - Safaga

Role Purpose

Support contractual and commercial management of construction projects during pre- and post-award stages. Assist in risk assessment, contract administration, claims and variation management, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and achievement of project objectives.

Key Accountabilities

• Assist in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering contracts and subcontracts.
• Support preparation of tender-stage risk registers and contract reviews.
• Administer main contracts, maintain documentation, logs, and contract records.
• Prepare and issue contractual correspondences, EOT claims, and variation orders.
• Review subcontract agreements and manage related communications and claims.
• Monitor and track claims, variations, and contractual issues.
• Attend project meetings and provide contract-related input.
• Prepare internal reports, registers, and kick-off presentations.
• Coordinate with legal, commercial, and project teams for proper contract execution.
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian law, procurement regulations, and FIDIC standards.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in construction contract administration.
• Knowledge of FIDIC and Egyptian construction regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office and document control systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Contract management certification is a plus.
