What You’ll Do

  • Take overall responsibility for the smooth and successful running of the project from commencement through to completion.
  • Oversee the delivery of the contract in accordance with programme, budget, specification, quality, and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Liaise closely with the Quantity Surveyor on all commercial and financial aspects of the project.
  • Work with the HSE Manager/Officer to ensure all Health & Safety requirements are effectively implemented and maintained across the project.
  • Review subcontractor compliance with company Health & Safety procedures and ensure any issues are addressed promptly.
  • Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and key project stakeholders.
  • Attend client, site, progress, and other project meetings as required.
  • Provide direction and leadership to the site management team and ensure effective short-term planning and coordination of works.
  • Monitor project progress and performance against agreed targets, programmes, and budgets.
  • Report regularly to the Company Directors on project progress, performance, commercial matters, and any key issues or risks.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations and project requirements are understood and adhered to throughout the contract.
  • Monitor the performance of site personnel and subcontractors and implement changes where required to ensure project targets are achieved.
  • Support the effective management of resources, labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the project.
  • Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety policies and, where appropriate, delegate responsibility and authority to the Site Management team to support effective implementation and compliance.

What You’ll Bring

  • Relevant third-level qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a Contracts Manager or senior construction management role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, project delivery, programming, and contract management.
  • Proven experience managing construction projects from commencement through to completion.
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience working closely with Quantity Surveying teams.
  • Good understanding of construction contracts, contractual obligations, and project requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and construction legislation in Ireland.
  • Proven experience managing site teams, subcontractors, and multiple project stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities with a focus on project delivery.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • A valid Safe Pass and relevant construction-related qualifications.

Why Join Monami Construction?

  • Join one of Ireland’s growing and respected construction companies.
  • Take a key leadership role in the successful delivery of high-profile construction projects.
  • Competitive remuneration package including Pension and Life Cover.
  • Flexible working hours and conditions.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and career development with financial support.
  • Work within a collaborative and supportive senior project team.
