Control and Instrumentation Engineer (HVAC)

Job Purpose

Dinga Business Solutions is seeking a legally registered Control and Instrumentation Engineer with proven experience with HVAC controls, PLC/ controllers, alarm matrices, energy monitoring and BMS/IMCS/SCADA integration.

Professional registration: Active registration with ECSA as PrTechEng or PrEng

Experience required: 3+ years of post-registration experience with ECSA

Minimum educational requirements: BTech Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering and/ or Bsc or BEng Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering

Key Responsibilities

• System design and integration: Develop piping and instrumentation diagram layouts, control schemas, and network architectures for chilled water, condenser water and air-handling systems

• Instrumentation selection: Choose and calibrate sensors (temperature, pressure, humidity, flow and air quality) and actuators (electric or pneumatic valves and dampers)

• PLC and BMS Programming: Program and configure Programmable Logic Controllers, Distributed Control Systems and Building Management Systems utilizing protocols such as, but not limited to, BACnet or Modbus

• Commissioning and Troubleshooting: test control loops, diagnose system malfunctions and optimize plant performance to match real-time thermal loads.

• Ensure installations meet health, safety, and energy-efficiency standards
