Control Engineer

Controls Engineer – Miami, FL

Salary: up to $110,000 + bonus

Location: Miami, FL – Fully onsite

We have partnered with a global automation business looking to hire a Controls Engineer to support an established automated facility in Miami.

The role will focus heavily on maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrading existing automation systems , with the site now requiring increased controls support and reliability improvements.

What you'll be doing

• Troubleshooting and maintaining Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLC systems
• Carrying out system health checks and identifying recurring faults
• Supporting upgrades and modifications to existing automation equipment
• Troubleshooting sensors, VFDs, control panels and electrical systems
• Supporting HMI/SCADA systems and controls integration
• Working with internal engineers, vendors and system integrators
• Improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime

What we're looking for

• 1–5+ years' Controls/Automation experience
• Strong Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLC knowledge
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience
• Ability to read electrical schematics
• Experience with industrial communication networks
• Material handling, conveyor, warehouse automation or robotics experience would be beneficial

This could suit either a junior Controls Engineer looking to develop or an experienced engineer looking for a stable, site-based position with limited travel.
