Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Control Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing control systems that optimize the performance of complex machinery and automation processes. Your expertise will drive system efficiency, reliability, and safety across diverse projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your electrical and mechanical engineering skills in a fast-paced environment, contributing to cutting-edge technological advancements.
Duties
- Design and develop control system architectures using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation, ensuring precise schematics and system layouts.
- Utilize simulation software like Simulink and MATLAB to model system behavior and validate control strategies before implementation.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) using languages such as C++, Python, and Perl to automate industrial processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis on system failures or malfunctions, identifying issues related to signal processing, firmware bugs, or hardware defects.
- Perform debugging and soldering of electronic components, ensuring surface mount technology (SMT) standards are met for high-reliability assemblies.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate electrical systems with mechanical components, leveraging mechanical knowledge for system design.
- Develop detailed electrical schematics and diagrams for control panels using CAD tools like SolidWorks and Electrical engineering principles.
- Support firmware development for embedded systems based on ARM architecture, optimizing performance through signal processing techniques.
- Engage in system testing, calibration, and validation activities to ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in electrical engineering with a focus on control systems design, system integration, or automation projects.
- Strong background in working with SoC (System on Chip) platforms and ARM-based microcontrollers.
- Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis on complex electronic or software issues within control systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks for schematic creation and system modeling.
- Hands-on experience programming PLCs with ladder logic or structured text languages; familiarity with Python and Perl scripting is advantageous.
- Knowledge of surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, debugging electronic circuits, and firmware development.
- Understanding of signal processing methods relevant to sensor data acquisition and control loop stability.
- Mechanical knowledge related to surface mount technology assembly processes or integrating electrical components into mechanical enclosures is preferred.
- Experience working with MATLAB/Simulink for modeling dynamic systems and performing simulations prior to hardware deployment.
