Job Purpose

Office Base Full Time Admin work.

The Control Room Controller is responsible for monitoring operating systems, coordinating responses to incidents, and maintaining clear communication with Clients, Security Officers, Emergency Services, and Management. The role requires strong English language skills to ensure accurate reporting, effective communication, and compliance with UK security standards.

Key Responsibilities

Control Room Duties

• Monitor Operating system, access control room email, and other multiple platforms.
• Identify and respond to security incidents in line with company procedures.
• Dispatch security officers and coordinate incident responses.
• Liaise with emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) when required.
• Maintain accurate control room logs and incident records.
• Follow data protection, confidentiality, and SIA guidelines.

Communication & Coordination

• Communicate clearly with on-site security officers via multiple platforms.
• Provide clear instructions during routine operations and emergencies.
• Update clients and management on incidents and system issues.
• Work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations.

English Language Requirements

Reading

• Read and understand, incident reports, emails site instructions, and operating procedures.
• Accurately interpret written instructions, policies, and emergency protocols.

Writing

• Write clear and accurate incident reports, logs, and emails.
• Record events in correct English with appropriate grammar and spelling.
• Complete reports that may be used as legal or client documentation.

Speaking

• Speak clearly and professionally in English over the phone and given multiple platforms.
• Give calm, clear instructions during incidents or emergencies.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and emergency services.

Listening

• Listen and read carefully to phone calls and client emails along with security officers report.
• Accurately understand instructions, requests, and incident details.
• Respond appropriately based on information received.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Basic IT skills (Control room emails, dealing with client’s requests, software, Microsoft Office).
• Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends (If needed this can be negotiate).

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous control room or security experience preferred.
• Knowledge of UK security procedures and standards.
• GCSE-level English or equivalent preferred.

Working Conditions

• Control room–based role.
• Shift work including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• It is heavily involving prolonged periods of monitoring screens.
