ARM Secure provides professional alarm monitoring and response services, supporting customers across a range of sectors. Operating 24/7, our Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) delivers rapid, accurate, and professional handling of alarm activations to help protect people, property, and assets.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for professional, vigilant, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as an ARC Operator.

The Role

As an ARC Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring and responding to a variety of alarm activations, including Intruder, CCTV, Fire and Panic Alarms. Working within a busy Alarm Receiving Centre, you will play a vital role in ensuring incidents are handled efficiently, professionally, and in line with company procedures and industry standards.

This is a fast-paced role where attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential. You will regularly communicate with customers, emergency services, partner organisations, installers, and colleagues to ensure the appropriate action is taken when incidents arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate Alarm Receiving Centre systems.
• Respond to incoming Intruder, CCTV, Fire and Panic Alarm activations.
• Assess incidents and take the appropriate action in accordance with procedures.
• Accurately record incidents, events, and actions taken.
• Handle incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• Liaise with customers, police, emergency services, installers, and partner organisations.
• Update and maintain customer records and databases.
• Ensure all information is handled confidentially and in line with Data Protection requirements.
• Preserve evidential material and maintain accurate records when required.
• Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of the ARC.

Desirable

• Previous experience within an Alarm Receiving Centre, Control Room, Monitoring Centre, Security Operations, or Customer Service environment.
• CCTV monitoring experience.
• SIA CCTV Licence.

Previous experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Working Hours

• 12-hour rotating shifts. (4 on 4 off)
• Night shifts including weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota.
• Flexibility to provide holiday and absence cover when required.
