About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer (Power) to support the development, programming, testing, troubleshooting, and startup of control systems used with power-distribution equipment.

What You'll Do

• Design custom control solutions for power-distribution equipment.
• Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and industrial controllers (Siemens TIA)
• Create and interpret control schematics and technical documentation.
• Conduct electrical testing on power and control equipment, documenting results.
• Troubleshoot control circuits, PLC code, and HMI issues to implement fixes.
• Support on-site equipment startup, commissioning, and technical troubleshooting.
• Review project requirements, drawings, and bills of material for controls needs.
• Maintain accurate project, testing, and engineering documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of controls, automation, or electrical engineering experience.
• Strong PLC programming and industrial control experience (Siemens familiarity preferred).
• Proficiency in reading and drafting electrical schematics.
• Hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning experience with industrial or power systems.
• Solid knowledge of control logic, electrical circuits, and power-distribution equipment.
• Ability to translate customer specifications into practical controls solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering.
• Experience with Siemens TIA Portal.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or similar schematic software.
• Familiarity with safety systems, SCADA/HMIs, VFDs, or servo systems.
