Control Systems Engineer

This role involves designing, supporting, and maintaining integrated automation and control systems, including software testing, commissioning, validation, and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Designing control systems or modifying existing ones based on process diagrams, user requirements, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
• Collaborating with global controls teams on project development, standards, and new technology implementation.
• Supporting, configuring, and replicating PLC systems, SCADA, drive configurations, servo, and vision systems.
• Maintaining technical documentation, software backups, revision notes, and supporting cGMP validation processes.
• Communicating project progress and issues with the Control Systems Manager.
• Providing after-hours support for plant operations, collaborating with personnel, and offering technical guidance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Robotics with automation focus.
• Strong communication skills for managing expectations and project updates.
• Knowledge of electrical circuit theory, control circuit design, and interpretation of wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Safe troubleshooting of electrical wiring and control systems.
• Intermediate understanding of software development lifecycle, system requirements, and testing plans.
• Project management skills for estimating software project tasks.
• Proficiency in programming (Siemens preferred), SCADA, drives, servo systems, PCs, and Windows OS.

Key duties include: system design, collaboration on control projects, system support and configuration, documentation, and technical guidance. The role requires effective communication, safety awareness, and technical expertise to ensure optimal automation system performance.
