Job Description: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Controller / Bookkeeper to oversee the financial operations of PatCom Medical Inc. This role will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day financial activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledgers, journals, and subsidiary ledgers.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Prepare and submit government remittances, including HST/GST returns and payroll source deductions.

• Assist with year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Identify areas for process improvements and implement streamlined accounting procedures.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and executive management, to achieve company goals.

Qualifications:

• Must be a certified Quickbooks Online Advisor
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Quickbooks Online
• Excellent understanding of Canadian and American accounting regulations and tax laws.
• Solid understanding of financial statement analysis and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Prior experience in the healthcare industry is an asset.
